Tesla, the electric car manufacturer, is preparing to introduce the new vehicle model. CEO Elon Musk made a statement on Twitter about the new electric car model.

Elon Musk, one of the most controversial businessmen and entrepreneurs of the 21st century, made a very important announcement on Twitter. Musk stated that they will host a launch event at the design studio in Los Angeles on March 14 and will present the Tesla Model Y, the fifth electric vehicle since the company was founded in 2003. According to Musk, Model Y will share approximately 75% of its parts with Model 3, the most affordable car in Tesla. However, Model Y will be 10% larger and 10% more expensive than Model 3. Model Y won’t have the ‘Falcon Wing’ door model we see on Tesla’s other SUVs. It is known that much more details will be shared with the vehicle on the promotion day and it is known that the test drive of the car is currently underway. Therefore, Tesla Model Y has several prototypes that are already produced. However, mass production is reported to start in 2020.

The Tesla Model Y and all other models, estimated to be available for sale at around $ 35,000, will be ordered via the Internet. Tesla, who dismissed his employees by closing most of his stores around the globe, has now completely weighted e-commerce.

Another important announcement by Elon Musk is the company’s electric truck. The Tesla electric van, which is seen as a significant development in the freight transport sector, will be officially introduced later this year. Tesla‘s 3rd generation Supercharger charging station, also expected to have 350kW charging power, will be officially introduced next week.
